On today's episode of Kat shenanigans…

Me on my week-long solo beach vacay:

"I'm going to take the whole week off. It'll be my own little Soul Retreat.

I'll pack my yoga mat, journals, crystals, essential oils and diffuser, and books…SO many books!!

Oh, and I'll do some biz coursework,

…and catch up on our home mail,

…and, and, and."

Do you see the problem with this scenario? Because let me tell you, I surely thought it was doable! 🤪

One of our lovely ADHD attributes is time blindness. We think we can tackle a lot more in the alloted time than possible, or vice versa.

Were you ever on track to leave the house for work and saw the dishes and said, “Since I still have time, I'll knock out those dishes really quick. It’ll only take me a minute.”

Of course you didn’t think it would only take you a minute. But you also didn’t count on it taking you 30 minutes either! 🤦‍♀️

Time blindness can get in the way of managing your money as well.

  • You know you have to check your bank statements to make sure nothing is falling through the cracks, but you estimate it will take you far longer than you have time for, so you don’t do it. 🙄

  • Your utilities bill isn’t due until next week so you figure you’ll wait to pay for it when the deadline is closer. And then you miss the deadline. 🗓

  • You wait until the last possible minute to go to the DMV to register your car and now you’re waiting in line for over an hour because everyone else decided to wait as well. 😐

It’s time to think differently, not harder, Love.

Stop getting frustrated and working against your ADHD and start working WITH it. Start paying your bills on time and start your emergency savings with strategies that work for YOU.

Financial Goals with Soul for the ADHD Brain is coming your way. You will learn different ways to work with your ADHD brain so you can meet your financial goals.

Reply to this email if you want to get on the waitlist. Trust me, you don’t want to miss it!

Until next time! 🤗💞
